Narrative:
Brooks Kostakis is heavily involved in the firm’s trial litigation and appellate practice, particularly in defense of Class I railroads and other clients in both state and federal courts. He also represents clients in areas of employment law, including defense against claims alleging discrimination, and in lawsuits involving premises and product liability issues. Brooks has significant trial experience in railroad defense and personal injury litigation, particularly in cases brought by employees under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA), and in lawsuits brought by third parties. Brooks further focuses his practice on the firm’s defense of toxic tort lawsuits alleging injury from occupational exposure to asbestos or other substances. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Brooks worked as a judicial clerk with Tennessee appellate courts. As a result of his prior experience, Brooks further devotes his practice to appellate work on behalf of the firm’s clients.
